Christina Anton Garcia graduated summa cum laude with a BS in criminology and cum laude with a BA in psychology from the University of Florida in 2003. She earned her JD from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law in 2006.
After law school, Christina practiced at a firm for nearly four years prior to starting Anton Garcia Law. She has practiced family law exclusively for 14 years. Her expertise in marriage dissolution, contested custody, paternity, domestic violence, and other areas of family law are major contributions to the firm. On a broader level, she combines energy, conscientiousness, and dedication with legal knowledge and experience in helping clients achieve the best possible outcomes.
For the past four years, Christina has been selected as a "Super Lawyers Rising Star." Recently, she was designated as a “Top 40 under 40” Family Law Attorney in Florida by American Society of Legal Advocates. In 2013, Christina was honored as a finalist for Legal Business Woman of the Year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. She was also selected as one of Tampa’s top 10 Leading Ladies in 2011 by Blu magazine, where she was featured for her business ventures, philanthropic efforts, and community involvement. Christina was selected as a 2010 Up & Comer by Tampa Bay Business Journal and was a finalist for the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Young Lawyer of the Year award in 2009. She also has a superb (10 out of 10) rating on Avvo.
Christina is a third-generation Tampa native and is actively involved in the Tampa Bay community. She has held positions on the Tampa Public Safety Council, the Greater Tampa Chamber Policy Council, the Women of Influence Committee, and Emerge Tampa Bay’s Voice segment, and she was selected to participate in the Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s protégé program. She is an active member of the Junior League of Tampa and is currently a patron supporter. Christina is a graduate of the Tampa Connection class of 2012. She has presented on community- and law-related issues to audiences in public forums, such as the Business Transition Council of Tampa Bay, and to professional organizations, such as the Tampa Bay Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, where continuing education credits were offered to attendees. Christina currently serves on the board of Angels for Foster Kids.
Christina is the chair of the Hillsborough County Family Law Section newsletter committee. She is an active member of the Hillsborough County Family Law Executive Council, Tampa Bay American Inn of Court, the Tampa Gator Club, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, and the University of Florida Alumni Association. She actively supports Meals on Wheels, Community Action Stops Abuse (CASA), Quantum Leap Farm, and many other local charities.
